Reactive power, corrected

Inductive loads such as motors, transformers and fluorescent lighting draw reactive power that does no useful work but still loads your supply, dragging down your power factor and pushing up demand charges.

Our Power Factor Correction (PFC) panels switch banks of capacitors in and out to keep the power factor close to unity. The result is lower reactive demand, reduced I²R losses, less voltage drop and reclaimed capacity in cables, transformers and switchgear — all built to international standards.
